摘要
以维果茨基社会文化理论为基础、注重来自评估人中介干预的动态评估是一种新兴的、非传统的评估方法。本文汇报了根据一篇汉英翻译对九位英语专业学生进行动态评估的尝试。结果发现,动态评估可以在一定程度上分辨出得分相近的学生之间汉英翻译潜在能力的差异,同时评估人的中介干预策略及学习者的回应也可揭示学生在汉英翻译中面临的一些主要障碍,这对翻译课堂教学与汉英翻译测试命题都有积极的意义。
Dynamic assessment,based on Vygotsky's social cultural theory,is a new and alternative assessment approach which attaches great importance to mediation from evaluators. The current research summarizes a tentative attempt of dynamic assessment of a Chinese-to-English passage translation by nine English major juniors. The research finds that dynamic assessment is able to reveal the difference in emerging translation competence of the students who may otherwise obtain similar scores. Meanwhile,the evaluator's mediating strategies,some of which work and some don't,together with students' responses shed light on some major obstacles in translation. The implications for translation teaching and assessment are also discussed.
