Timbre is the main way to express emotions.The component elements of the clarinet′s timbre is similar to other pipe instruments which lie in the control of mouth shapes as well as the breath.Thus,to acquire the superior timbre,the players should play on the basis of the clarinet′s character.This paper is going to tell the theory of mouth shapes and the approach of breath as well as explaining some common problems in teaching.
