玉米种子大小对其萌发、活力及幼苗生长的影响

Effects of Seed Size on Seed Germination,Vigor and Seedling Growth of Maize

以郑单958、先玉335和诺达1号3个玉米杂交种为试验材料,研究不同大小籽粒种子对其萌发和幼苗生长的影响。结果表明,同一品种不同大小籽粒对种子的发芽率、发芽势和发芽指数影响不明显,而对种子活力和幼苗生长影响较大,即大粒种子的活力明显高于小粒种子;不同品种之间的种子萌发指标差距也不明显,而种子活力和幼苗生长差距较大。这说明种子大小对其萌发阶段影响不大,而主要影响幼苗的生长。

Three maize hybrids,Zhengdan 958,Xianyu 335 and Nuoda 1,were selected as experimental materials to study the effects of different seed sizes on seed germination and seedling growth. The results showed that for the same hybrid,different seed sizes had no obvious effects on the germination rate,germination potential and germination index,but greatly affected the seed vigor and seedling growth. That was,bigger seeds owned higher seed vigor than that of smaller seeds. The differences in seed germination among different hybrids were not obvious,but those in seed vigor and seedling growth were bigger. It indicated that seed size mainly influenced the seedling growth rather than seed germination.
