Constructing a Livable and Environmental Friendly City to Enhance the Development Vitality of Tianjin Binhai New Area

现代城市的发展不再只简单地追求GDP的增长,而是愈发追求城市发展的软实力,诸如文化、环境、居民幸福度等,而环境在城市的发展过程中又有着举足轻重的地位,如何改善城市环境已经成为社会各界共同努力的一个目标。提出规划建设南港工业区、加强对北大港湿地等的保护、发挥中新天津生态城的引领示范作用、利用自然条件促进清洁能源发展等举措,旨在建设环保宜居城市,提升滨海新区发展活力。

The development of a modem city is no longer the simple pursuit of GDP growth, but the pursuit of the soft power of city development, such as culan-e, environment, residents＇ degree of happiness. While environment has a pivotal position in the process of city development, how to improve the environment has become a common goal for people from all walks of the society. In the paper, the measures including working out the planning of Nan＇gang Industrial Zone, strengthen- ing the protection of Beidagang Wetland, well playing the demonstration and pilot role of Sino-Singapore Eco-City, promot- ing the development of clean energy by using natural resources were proposed.
