《小杜丽》是狄更斯晚期所写的一部突出空间、弱化时间情节的长篇小说。《小杜丽》文中包含了七个具有代表性的城市空间。狄更斯在文中以城市空间来建构故事,以空间来推动叙事进程,塑造人物形象。此外,文中城市空间不但是故事发生的场景和人物活动的平台,而且也是一种具有"自我"言说权利的社会空间,里面交织着各种社会关系,勾勒了维多利亚时期伦敦的阶级、社会、民族的文化传统和意识形态。

Little Dorrit is a novel written by Dickens which is prominent space and weaken the time plot. Little Dorrit contains seven representative urban space. Dickens in urban space is to construct stories, with space to push the narrative process, shaping characters. With urban space constructs the story, and with space to promote the narrative process, Dickens is to shape the image of the characters in the novel. In addition, the urban space is not only the story scenes and the platform of characters, but also is a social space which is intertwined with all kinds of social relations. Urban space depicts the class, society, cultural tradition and ideology of the period of Vitoria.
