论江南群贤祠的文化精神及现代价值——以无锡尊贤祠与苏州五百名贤祠为例

On Cultural Spirit and Modern Value of Memorial Temples of Sages Located in Regions South of the Yangtze River

江南群贤祠是江南祠堂的集大成者,集中反映了江南文化精神,是研究江南文化发展不可多得的艺术瑰宝。文章对比分析江南大地上具有代表性的群贤祠,深入探究群贤共祠现象的文化原因,挖掘其文化内涵,进而发现江南群贤祠在现代社会进程中无可替代的教育意义。

The memorial temples of sages in the regions south of the Yangtze River epitomize the essence of all the temples in these regions, reflecting the spirits of southern culture and helping study the development of this culture. This paper compares and studies several representative memorial temples of these regions to explore the reasons that many sages are enshrined in the same temple. It aims at finding out these temples＇ cultural connotations which are of irreplaceable educational value in modern society.
