Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of lidocaine hydrochloride mucilage in urethral catheterization of twins cesarean section. Methods A total of 260 cases planed to receive twins cesarean section were divided into control group and observation group,130 cases in each group. The control group received lidocaine hydrochloride mucilage painless urethral catheterization, and the observation group received lidocaine hydrochloride mucilage assisting by female urethral injection of a negative pressure device. The curative effect was compared. Results The systolic and diasolic blood pressure, heart rate of the observation group were significantly lower than those of control group( P〈0. 05). The urine bacterial culture, the 24 h pain of catheterization and the pain rate of observation group were lower than those of control group( P〈0. 05). The incidence of complications was 5. 4%( 7/130) in observation group, significantly lower than23. 8%( 31/130) in the control group, the difference was statistically significant( P〈0. 05).Conclusion The clinical efficacy of the catheterization of twin cesarean section with lidocaine hydrochloride mucilage is good. Assisted with a negative pressure female urethral injection,it can improve the retention time of drug in urethra and enhanced the effect of the drug and reduce the influence of patients' blood pressure, heart rate and sense of pain; it is worth to apply widely.
