摘要
隐喻能力在日常生活和书面表达中的重要性是毋庸置疑的,但在英语教学中这一能力却没有得到足够的重视,本文通过强调隐喻能力在阅读中的重要地位和解释中国学习者培养隐喻能力的困难进而提出在阅读教学中培养学生隐喻能力的课程设计。
There is no doubt about the importance of metaphoric competence in daily life and written language, but the compe- tence is not given enough attention in English teaching. This paper stresses the important role metaphoric competence plays in reading and explains the difficulties for Chinese learners to develop this competence, then it suggests the syllabus design for de- veloping learners＇metaphoric competence in teaching reading.
