基于慕课的“翻转课堂”在独立学院英语专业翻译教学中的应用--以金城学院为例

On the Application of Flipped Class Model Based on MOOC in the Translation Teaching of Independent Colleges——Taking Jincheng College as an Example

慕课教学是一种基于计算机技术和网络技术的教学方式。作为一种新出现的课堂教学组织形式,"翻转课堂"原先的英文名称是"Flipped Class Model",其原则是由教师录制教学视频,然后将录制的教学视作为学生的主要学习资源。要求学生在上课前要先观看教师录制的教学视频,学习视频中的教学内容,在此基础上再进行课堂讨论学习。课堂上教师就学生在观看视频过程中出现的问题以及视频中的主要内容跟学生一起探讨,交流,互动。本文首先从分析金城学院英语专业翻译教学的现状入手,介绍了基于慕课的"翻转课堂"模式在本学院英语专业翻译教学中的应用,再根据一个学期的教学内容和实践结果,分析讲述了此模式在翻译教学中的优势,最后指出该模式在英语专业翻译教学中面临的挑战。

The teaching based on MOOC is an innovative way of teaching relying on the technology of computer and internet. ＂ flipped classroom＂ is also a new form of teaching, in which teachers are supposed to provide teaching videos as the main form of learning resources, and students are required to watch the videos and complete learning before class. Homework check, col- laborative inquiry and interactive communication activities will be done in classes. This paper first analyzes the status quo of the translation teaching for English majors in Jineheng college, and then gives an introduction to MOOC and the ＂ flipped class- room＂ mode. It further analyzes the teaching resulats achived in one term of the translation teaching based on the mode, and fi- nally points out the challenges independent colleges are facing in view of this teaching mode.
