Only by cultivating students＇ critical thinking ability and strengthening their ability to make correct judgments and take effective measures on their knowledge, views and doubts in English writing, can the articles written reflect writers＇ ideas and innovation. This paper elaborates the connotation and characteristics of critical thinking, and explores how to cultivate students＇ critical thinking in college English writing teaching.
