The paper analyzes practical issues existing in the safety control of ferry crossings, ferries and ferry transportation with the emphasis put on such issues as the responsibilities and tasks for each department and the departments responsible for ferry safety control designated by governments of county level, k also puts forward countermeasures and suggestions on enhancing safety control aiming at ensuring the life and property safety of the people traveling via water.
