As a part of the text, text prompts play an important role even though they are accessories for the text. They include introductions to Chinese language, well preparing students for text learning; they guide learning methods, helping students grasp Chinese learning methods; they cultivate reading ability, helping to improve students＇ level of reading. By grasping text prompts, the teacher can design leading language for the new lesson; the teacher can also introduce the background of the text, laying a foundation for students＇ further learning; the teacher can illustrate key and difficult points of the text, helping students to make clear their learning goals; the teacher can also guide read- ing methods, helping students learn to study.
