基于文化维度理论的欧美电影跨文化研究

Intercultural Studies from European and American Movies: A Perspective of Cultural Dimensions Theory

经济全球化背景下,随着各国之间的交往变得越来越频繁,人们有必要学习各种国际文化,目的是为了更好地开展国际交流。本文以《阿甘正传》《花木兰》《我的盛大希腊婚礼》《影院天堂》等欧美电影为载体,借助文化维度理论的五个方面,运用多部欧美电影中的片段来阐释个体主义与集体主义、权力距离、不确定性回避、事业成功与生活质量、长期与短期导向等五方面国际文化的异同。本研究有助于我们纠正对国际文化的误解,加强对国际文化的理解,最后达到彼此包容、共同合作的境界。

With the economic globalization, people pay more attention to the international culture in order to obtain better communication among different countries. This study illustrates the differences of international culture by explaining various scenarios from some European and American movies like ＂For- rest Gump＂, ＂Mulan＂, ＂My Big Fat Greek Wedding＂ and so on with five aspects of cultural dimensions theory： individualism and collectivism, power distance, uncertainty avoidance, career success and life quality, long-term or short-term orientation in order to better develop the international exchanges. This paper contributes to correcting misconceptions about international cul- tures, strengthening the understanding of international cultures, and eventually achieving, mutual tolerance and cooperation.
