On the Factors Affecting the Competitiveness of Domestic Transgenic Cotton Seeds: A Study Based on the Diamond Model

以迈克尔·波特的钻石模型理论为分析框架,从要素条件、需求条件、相关支持产业、企业战略结构与同业竞争、政府等方面,实证分析了影响中国转基因棉种市场竞争力的因素。结果表明,中国转基因棉种市场竞争力的提升主要受市场需求、政府政策、要素条件和同业竞争等因素的影响。为保持中国转基因棉种的竞争优势,未来应继续维护自由和公平竞争市场环境,通过财政资金投入、税收优惠、金融支持、人才流动等政策鼓励支持中国转基因棉种企业加大科研经费和人才投入,并开拓国外市场。

Taking Michael Porter＇s Diamond Model Theory as the analytical framework, this paper makes an empirical analysis of the factors affecting the market competitiveness of domestic transgenic cotton seeds, including factor conditions, demand conditions, related and supporting industries, firm strategy, structure and rivalry, and government. The results show that the improvement of the competitiveness of domestic transgenic cotton seeds is mainly affected by market demand, government policy, factor conditions and competition among industry. In order to maintain the competitive advantage, in the future it is necessary to continue to maintain free and fair competitive market environment, encourage and support domestic enterprises of transgenic cotton seeds to increase research funding and personnel input and develop foreign markets through such policies as financial investment, tax incentives, financial support, and talent flow.
