An Analysis of the Economic Running Track of South Pacific Countries: Based on the Data of 2004-2013

近十年,南太平洋各岛国经济运行起伏波动较大,具体表现为经济规模小,经济增长持续疲软,三大产业结构不合理,旅游收入成为国家的主要收入,在对外贸易中进口远远大于出口,这主要受金融危机以及岛国内生问题等环境因素的影响。未来南太平洋岛国经济难以在短时间有大增长,加快区域经济一体化进程、加强与区外国家的合作成为走出困局的主要措施,中国也应加强与南太平洋岛国经济合作关系。

In the recent ten years, the economy of South Pacific countries experienced severe fluctuations, specifically, including small economic scale, continuing weakness of economic growth, irrational structure of three major industries, tourism income as the main national income, and severe trade deficit. It is impacted by the financial crisis and environmental factors, such as island country＇s inner environment problem. It is difficult for the South Pacific countries to realize a rapid growth in economy. The main key to the dilemma is to achieve regional economic integration acceleration and improve the cooperation with the outside countries. It is also necessary for China to enhance the economic cooperation with the South Pacific countries.
