摘要
1996年,国际21世纪教育委员会向联合国教科文组织提交了"德洛尔报告",即《教育—财富蕴藏其中》,报告中作为教育支柱之一而提出的"学会共存"成为了全球化时代背景下新的世界教育目标。国际理解教育在新的教育目标下被赋予了更为丰富的内涵,也承担了新的职能。本文探讨了国际理解教育的产生与发展,在"学会共存"目标下国际理解教育的特征和策略,以明晰国际理解教育在促使个体通过对世界的进一步认识来了解自己和了解他人,促进来自不同文化之间的人们的相互尊重、相互理解、相互沟通,以及促进全球社会的共存共荣等方面的意义。
Learning to Live Together is one of the four pillars mentioned in learning: The Treasure Within,the 1996 Delors Report to UNESCO of the International Commission on Education for the Twenty-first Century. It has become a new purpose of education in a globalized world,which brings new concepts and functions to the International Understanding Education( IUE). The present paper analyzes the development of IUE and its features and strategies under the purpose of Learning to Live Together,with the hope of gaining a clearer idea of the significance of IUE in realizing mutual respect,understanding and communicating between people from different cultures and in promoting the prosperity of the global society.
