On Educator's Belief in Education and Its Constitution

摘要 在传统中国,学统、政统、道统之间的内在一致性一定程度上保证了中华文明的绵延不绝。然而,在中华文明从传统向现代的转型中,形式上的现代学校体系即学统虽初步建成,但由于科举制度和阅读传统经典等制度的废除,道统却为之不继。由此,中国现代学校体系便丧失了道统所固有的形而上体系及其精神内核。在反思传统教育嬗变过程中由精神内核缺失所导致的诸多问题的基础上,研究提出建构教育者教育信仰作为重建中国现代教育体系的精神内核的首要选择。教育信仰是教育者相信教育活动的文明本质和自身具有建构更好教育的"信仰"状态,是自身对教育活动敞开的心向,其包括认知—仰望—情感—体认等四个维度的要素,即对教育活动的整体性认识、对文明价值的追求、对学生成长充盈的爱和对自身道德修养的坚持。建构教育信仰,不仅要求我们用文明的视野审视已有的体制和制度,也要用文明的视野来审视我们的内心。 There was intrinsic consistence among "Academic system", "Political system" and "Dao system" in traditional China. In some sense, its intrinsic consistence makes the Chinese civilization carry on continually. However, the "Dao system" was interrupted as a result of the abolition of imperial examination system and classic reading system, even though the modem school system, be called "Academic system", was established formally in the transition of Chinese civilization from traditional form to modem form. Based on the reflection of educational problems caused by the missing of educational sprits in the course of reforming traditional education, the paper presents to construct the concept of beliefs in education as the first principle in order to reconstruct the modem educational system of China. The concept means a state of believing for educators in the essence of educational activity and in personal ability to create a better education, and means an open mind-set to education. It describes the concept of "the belief in education" detailedly, which includes four essen- tial factors: the recognition to holistic character of educational activity, the pursuit of values of civilization, the devotion to the development of students and the persistence of self cultivation on morality. To reconstruct the spiritual essence of modem education system, we should examine pre-existing education system and our innermost being in the view of civilization.
