The Aboriginal Myths of the Underground Peoples in Taiwan

台湾原住民有一个地底人神话的母题,讲述地底人大都拥有谷物,而且身形大都矮小,常描述他们是有尾巴或是无肛的人。地底人的尾巴不能被人看见,通常会藏于木臼中,而无肛的地底人不能饮食,只能吸取食物的蒸汽。拥有谷物的地底人之所在,是一个乐园空间,而其中的木臼或食物的蒸汽,都说明所在空间的原初状态,一旦遭受破坏,或地底人身体受到伤害,必然导致乐园空间的消失。

Taiwan Aborigines have a motif of underground people,which tells that the underground peoples with short stature have grains and often are described as having a tail or having no anus.The underground peoples' tail cannot be seen,usually hidden in the wooden mortar,and the underground peoples with no anus cannot diet,can absorb food steam.The place where the underground peoples with grains is located in a paradise,and one of the wooden mortars or food steam explain all of the original state of the space,once suffered damage,or the underground peoples' body are hurt,will inevitably lead to the disappearance of Paradise space.
