By telling the family saga in her memoir The Glass Castle, Jeannette Walls asserts that the world＇ s essence and life＇s truth are characterized by the unity of orderliness and disorderliness, namely “ chaos”. The ridiculous parents and their disorderly family are merely superficial phenomena and the orderly “glass castle” is nothing but a fantasy. In fact, orderliness and disorderliness are associated closely with each other and can not be separated.
