Analysis of Common Mistakes in Medical English Abstracts Based on Linguistic Differences Between Chinese and English

英汉语言语系不同,在词法、句法上差异很大。医学科研工作者往往因不了解两种语言之间的差异,因此在翻译医学论文摘要时容易受母语定势思维的影响而出现误译。以《解放军医院管理杂志》为例,从英汉语言差异角度分析该刊英文摘要中常见的七类典型的语言错误,并提出相应的改进办法。

English differs greatly from Chinese in the vocabulary , grammar and syntax, which may be con-fusing and unfamiliar to many medical researchers .The negative transfer of mother language always causes mistakes for researchers to translate the Chinese abstracts into English ones .Therefore, by taking the example of Hospital Administration Journal of Chinese People ＇s Liberation Army, this paper analyzed the common mistakes in writing medical English abstracts from the perspective of linguistic differences between Chinese and English and proposed several ways to translate genuinely in accordance with the language features of English .
