Vladimir Nabokov occupies an important place in the 20^th literary history. His moral view and politic claim were interwoven with his complicated narrative strategies. In the context of the special political and historical background of the two world wars in the last century, the paper exams the difficult situation of Adam Krug, the protagonist in the Bend Sinister, to analyze Nabokov＇ s narrative strategies and his attitude towards totalitarianism. Nabokov not only exposed the ruthless killing of innocent life, the harsh downtrodden of individual＇ s dignity, the brutal intrusion of free consciousness to expose the cruelty of totalitarianism, but also explored the reason underlying political calamities.
