Mainstreaming human rights is one of the hotest topics in the field of human rights studies and practices in recent years. The paper defines the implication of mainstreaming human rights, followed by the review of the development of mainstreaming human rights. The paper then analyses the driving forces of mainstreaming human rights, and lastly articulates the functions and significance of rnainstreaming human rights. The paper then argues that researches and practitioners in China shall meet the trends of mainstreaming human rights and promote the cause of human rights in China accordingly.
