从译文可接受性角度探讨《伤寒论》病证名的英译

On Translation of the Disease and Syndrome Terms in Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Disease( Shang Han Lun) from the Perspective of Acceptability

《伤寒论》中病证名的英译一直以来都是《伤寒论》英译的重点和难点,其具有多义性、抽象性、模糊性、文学性、专业性等文本特点。译者在翻译《伤寒论》的病证名时需要考虑语言因素和文化因素等对译文可接受性的影响,灵活运用直译法、直译法结合注释法、意译法、音译法结合注释法等多元化的翻译方法,以准确完整地翻译词义进而提高译文的可接受性。

Translation of the Disease and Syndrome Terms in Treatise on exogenous febrile disease（ Shang Han Lun）is both emphases and difficulty in TCM English translation. The Disease and Syndrome Terms in this book bears the following text features as polysemy, abstractness, ambiguity, literariness and specialty. From the perspective of acceptability,the translator should consider the difference of language and culture between Chinese and English,and flexibly adopt such effective translation methods as literal translation,literal translation with notation,liberal translation and liberal translation with notation.
