The Construction of Contemporary Aesthetics and Bodily Experience

在西方美学传统中,对抽象理性和形而上观念的追求一直占据主导地位,与此相对,普通人的身体感受和日常生活经验一直备受轻视。不过,从马克思以来,当代美学的发展逐渐开始重视普通人的日常经验和身体性经验。我国当代美学的发展深受西方理性主义传统的影响,这并不利于构建以历史唯物主义为基础的马克思主义美学,因此必须关注普通民众的日常经验和身体性经验。

The seek for abstract reason and metaphysical thoughts has always dominated western aesthetic tradition, while bodily feelings and daily life experiences have always been ignored. However, contemporary aesthetics, after Marxism, tends to emphsize the bodily and daily experience of common people. Chinese contemporary aesthetics is greatly affected by western rationalism tradition, which is not helpful for the construction of Marxism aesthetics based on historical materialism. It should also pay attention to daily and bodily experience.
