On the Creative Translation from the Perspective of Construe Theory

摘要 认知语言学视角下,意义是不确定的,是认知主体对客观事物的概念化。翻译的过程是识解原文"意义"并通过不同识解方式重建"意义"的过程。译者结合译语读者的认知语境、文化背景等创造性地重构出符合读者期待的识解方式,使得其所建构出的意义与原作者所表达的意义实现认知对。 From the perspective of cognitive linguistics,meaning is dynamic and it is the conceptualization of the objects in the mind of cognitive subjects. The process of translation is to construe the "meaning"of the original text and to rebuild "meaning"through different construal patterns. The translator,by combining the cognitive contexts and cultural backgrounds of target readers,reconstructs the construal pattern which can meet the expectation of target readers to make the rebuilt meaning cognitively equivalent with the original one. With four dimensions of "construe"as the frame,this paper discusses how the translator reconstructs the construal pattern in order to realize the creative translation and improve the target readers' acceptance.
