面向应用气象学专业的科技英语课程建设研究

Course Construction on English for Science and Technology for the Major of Applied Meteorology

为了应对国家对扩大教育开放的要求和加强高校国际化办学的需要,科技英语课程的教学改革势在必行。该文以应用气象学专业为例,探讨科技英语课程的教学内容和教学方法,提出引进英文原版教材,从讲解科研论文结构入手,训练学生的英文文献阅读能力,提高学生英文科技论文写作的水平,加强国际学术交流的能力,培养国际化的应用气象学专业高级人才。

To meet the country’s demands to expand the opening-up of education and to improve international education cooperation in university, construction on the course of English for Science and Technology is imperative. Taking the major of Applied Meteorology as an example, the teaching contents and methods for the course of English for Science and Technology were discussed. To train the students to senior personnel in Applied Meteorology, it is suggested that those classic textbooks in English writing by some famous scientists should be introduced; students should be familiar with the structure of scientific manuscript, exercises on reading literature , writing manuscript and communicate in international conferences in English should be conducted.
