Objective To investigate the effect of perioperative nursing on postoperative complications and wound healing of the elderly patients with gastrointestinal polypus. Methods 156 cases of elderly patients with gastrointestinal polyp using high frequency electrocoagulation resection were randomly divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method, the control group was given routine nursing after high frequency electrocoagulation resection while the observation group was given the perioperative nursing and disease health guidance, postoperative complications and wound healing of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results The occurrence rate of complications of the observation group was 3.85%,which was significantly lower than 33.33% of the control group, there was statistically significant difference between the two groups (χ2 =22.407, P 〈0.01);The wound healing rate after 3 months of surgery of the observation group was 94.87%,which was signifi-cantly higher than 71.80% of the control group, there was statistically significant difference between the two groups (χ2 =14.954,P 〈0.01).Conclusion Under the standard perioperative nursing and disease health guidance, the complications are significantly fewer after surgery in elderly patients with gastrointestinal polyp, their wound healing rate increased significantly, which is worthy of clinical application.
