Interdisciplinary education is rising at universities as a new mode of developing talents. Based on educational theories that emphasize elite education, ＂Mind and Hand＂ and cooperation and openness, MIT devotes itself to create good supporting conditions for interdisciplinary undergraduate education, such as integrated campus architectures, diverse student groups and educational resources. The main paths of interdisciplinary undergraduate education at MIT are to offer interdisciplinary courses, establish academic communities and implement interdisciplinary research program.
