Introduction of Bible religious culture to College English Teaching in Vocational College

文章以高职英语教学文化教学的缺失性为切入点,从圣经词汇习语、名著中的圣经现象、西方宗教节日等三个方面入手,尝试在大学英语教学中适当融入圣经宗教文化的教学,作为大学英语教学的补充或以此为内容开设圣经文化选修课,取得了较好的教学效果。

In this article, based on discussing the lack of culture teaching in College English course, the writer attempts to integrate Bible religious culture into English teaching from the following three aspects： Bible’s vocabulary and idioms, Bible phenomena in world-famous classics like Jane Eyre and Wuthering Height and religious holidays. The result of the experiment turns out to be satisfying.
