The problems of vacuum insulation tank car found in periodic inspection were collected. The main failure modes were loss of vacuum, leakage of pipeline system, and invalid of safety accessory. By the analysis of the cause of the failure modes on vacuum insulation tank car, some measures were proposed based on regulations to ensure its safe operation.
