Objective To study the effect of continuous health education on medication compliance and blood pressure of hy‐pertensive patients .Methods A totol of 256 hypertensive patients were randomly divided into the observation group and control group .Those in the control group took medicine after discharge and returned regularly to the hospital for further consultation . And those in the observation group received continuous hearth education besides medicine and further consultation .The medi‐cine‐taking compliance and blood pressure were assessed in 3 months for both groups .Results The observation group was sig‐nificantly better than the control group on medicine‐taking compliance and blood pressure and the differences had statistical sig‐nificance(P〈0.05) .Conclusion The continuous health education may help to enhance their medicine taking compliance and better control the blood pressure of hypertensive patients ,so it is benefit to improving the curative effect .
