文化世俗化与南宋市民意识的兴起

Cultural secularization and emergence of citizen consciousness in the Southern Song Dynasty

南宋通过文化世俗化实现了文化普及,它与城市社会变革和市民意识的兴起互为因果。文化世俗化构建了城市多元文化主体,带来了普遍的文化自觉,确认了各种市民身份。精英文化的超越性带有异化性质,南宋的世俗文化则在文化的人性化表达、社会关怀以及文化的市场化、社会化等方面有积极建树,为文化导向世俗公共领域开辟了道路。其中的许多因素,为实现对精英文化以及当今中国的过世俗化(庸俗化)文化的双重超越提供了有益经验。

Through cultural secularization, the Southern Song Dynasty had realized culturalpopularization. There was a reciprocal causation between cultural secularization and urban social change plus rise of citizen consciousness. Cultural secularization constructed urban multicultural subjects,brought widespread cultural consciousness,confirmed the identities of various citizens.While the transcendence over an elite culture was characterised by alienation, the secular culture in the Southern Song Dynasty had made positive progresses in humanistic expression and social concerns of a culture, as well as in cultural marketisation and socialization of a culture, which paved the way for the culture to be ushered in the secular public sphere. Many elements during the process provided useful experiences for the realization of a double transcendence over an elite culture and an excessive secular(vulgar)culture in China today.
