文献编目作为图书馆的一项基础工作,包括对各种文献信息资源的客观描述与著录、主题揭示与标引及以检索、浏览、导航推荐服务为目的的资源内容和形式的有序组织,从而达到宣传报道和检索利用文献的目的,在图书馆的日常工作中具有重要的意义,图书馆数字化发展到今天,更是对这项工作提出了新的要求。

Literature cataloging is a basic work of library. It includes the objective description and record of various information resources,the revealing and indexing of the subject and the ordering of the content and form of the resource for searching,browsing and navigation recommendation service,so as to achieve the purpose of propaganda and the use of literature retrieval. It has a great significance in the daily work of the library,and it puts forward new requirements for this work in the stage of digital development.
