鲁迅对尼采《查拉图斯特拉如是说》的译介

Lu Xun's Translation of Thus Spake Zarathustra by Nietzsche

在尼采的众多著作中,鲁迅似乎对《查拉图斯特拉如是说》有着独特的偏爱,他对此书的两次翻译便是佐证。鲁迅于1918年以文言文首次翻译了其《序言》的前3节,又于1920年以白话文形式对此进行了复译。前后两部译文各有特点,但都蕴藏着其日后所主张的"硬译""宁信不顺"的翻译原则。此外,鲁迅更积极促成了徐梵澄对此书的通译。

Among numerous writings of Nietzsche,Thus Spake Zarathustra has long been favored by Lu Xun,to which the fact that he translated this book twice is a testimony. In 1918,Lu Xun translated the first three sections of the Introduction of Thus Spake Zarathustra into Classical Chinese for the first time,and in 1920 he retranslated the same part into vernacular Chinese. Although each translation has its own characteristics,both of them were translated on the translation principles advocated by Lu Xun,such as ＂ literal translation＂ and ＂ rather to be faithful in thought than smooth in language＂. Encouraged by Lu Xun,Xu Fancheng finished the translation of the whole Thus Spake Zarathustra.
