Objective To analyze the value of serum homocysteine (Hcy) and high sensitive C reactive protein (hs-CRP) detection in patients with essential hypertension. Methods 68 hospitalized EH patients in our hospital from March 2015 to March 2016 were selected as observation group, and 68 healthy persons underwent physical examination were selected as control group.Serum Hcy and hs-CRP levels of two groups were detected with enzymatic cycling assay, enhanced immunoassay respectively. Then serum Hcy,hs-CRP levels of two groups, serum Hcy,hs-CRP levels of patients with different levels of hypertension in observation group, and serum Hcy,hs-CRP levels of male, female patients in observation group were compared. Results Serum levels of Hcy and hs-CRP in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group (P〈0.01).In observation group, with the increase of the grade of hypertension, serum Hcy,hs-CRP levels also increased (P〈0.01);there were statistically significant differences in serum Hcy,hs-CRP levels among patients with grade 1,2,and 3 hypertension (P〈0.01).Serum levels of Hcy and hs-CRP of male patients were significantly higher than those of female patients in observation group (P〈0.01).Conclusions hs-CRP and Hcy are risk factors of EH,which play important roles in the occurrence and development of EH.Detection of serum Hcy,hs-CRP is of great value in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of EH.
