The epitaph of Yang Xu of the Tang Dynasty clearly noted the genealogy of Yang Xu, the epitaph master, and his career in the special historic background of the downfall of the Sui Dynasty and the founding of the Tang Dynasty, and provided favorable supplementary materials for the relevant contents of the Book of Sui and the Old and New Books of Tang.
