女子体育是近代中国体育发展进程的重要组成部分。从我国女子体育的产生之时起,就承担了较为强烈的政治使命。在中国社会的近现代转型中,女子体育承载了明确的国族命运的政治意向,更多的是在进行强国保种的身体规训。主观上强国保种的政治意图对女子体育的发展起到了推动作用,这也在客观上刺激了女子脱离人身依附的主体性意识增强,带来了突破传统的身体展示,主要表现在多元体能的扩展和对西方体育健康美的主动接受和追求上。通过女子体育文化和性别的视角,跳脱传统国家观的体育史窠臼,还原和复归近代中国女子体育进展的多重面相,丰富和健全对近代中国女子体育历史的多维认识。

Women＇s sports is an important part of the development process of Chinese sports in modern times. From the time of the generation of women＇s sports in our country, it has assumed a strong political mission. In the modern transformation of Chinese society, women＇s sports has undertaken a clear political intention of national fate, and further it carries out the body discipline of protecting the species and strengthening country. Of course, the political intention of protecting the species and strengthening country has played a promoting role in the development of women＇s sports subjectively. This is also the objective to stimulate and enhance awareness of subjectivity from women ＇s personal attachment which brought a breakthrough of the traditional physical display. Mainly it displays the expansion of the multiple fitness ability and the active acceptance and pursuit of the western sports. Through the perspective of women＇s sports culture and gender, it jumps off the stereotype of sports history of traditional nation, and reducts and returns the multiple development aspects of modern women ＇s sports in China, so as to enrich and improve our multidimensional cognition of the history of modern women＇s sports in China.
