近代中国教会大学体育文化的传承研究

Sports culture heritage of modern Chinese Christian universities

运用文献资料和逻辑分析等方法,从体育经费和场馆设施、体育制度及组织、体育竞赛和课外活动、体育思想及价值观等方面对近代中国教会大学体育文化进行挖掘和整理,提出近代中国教会大学体育的历史贡献,得出主要结论:教会大学体育历经发端、巅峰和衰退阶段,受西方体育文化的影响较大;教会大学体育对中国近代体育进行了思想启蒙,促进了体育理论研究,引领和示范了国立和私立大学体育,历史贡献不容忽视;教会大学体育印证了体育在强健学生体魄、完善学生人格、提升学生综合素质方面不可替代的作用;教会大学体育的精神财富将继续为新时期大学体育文化建设提供借鉴和启示。

Modem Chinese Christian universities played an important role in promoting school sports development, introducing western sport concepts, and enhancing exchange between East and West in the history of China＇s modern sports. This study uses the methods of literature review and logical analysis to study the finance, facilities, organization, intramural athletics and extracurricular sports activities, and sports ideology and values, of the Christian universities in modern China. We recognize the historical contributions of Christian universities on this basis and draw the following conclusions： Christian universities′ sports experienced beginning, peak and decline stages under the influence of the Western sports culture ; Christian universities sports enlightened China modern sports and promoted sports theory research thus playing a leading role in sports of both public and private universities; its historical contribution in building students′ physique, improving students′ personality , and improving students′ comprehensive quality should not be under-estimated; the heritage of Christian universities′ sports will continue to serve as a valuable reference for university sports euhure development in the current Chinese society.
