摘要
职场八卦是指工作场所中关系较近的两名或少数几名同事在被讨论者不知情的情况下对其进行评价的行为。不同内容、目的、效价的职场八卦会对员工工作的不同方面产生不同方向的影响,受影响的方面包括:绩效水平,工作态度,组织公民行为水平,工作偏差行为水平,同事间人际关系,组织内人员相对地位,员工自我认知等。然而,这些作用均不是绝对的,会受到公司文化和氛围,情景因素,八卦所涉及人员间关系等因素的影响。未来对职场八卦的研究还需要将更多存在于职场的变量考虑在内,建立更为直观、系统的模型,并开发更有效的实验范式,将控制性强的实验室研究与样本量足够大的田野研究相结合,探究职场八卦产生作用的具体生理、心理机制。
Workplace gossip refers to the action of discussing a third person within someone else or a small group when the third person is not aware of being discussed. Gossips of different contents, goals and valence have different effects on the employees' working behavior and status, including work efficiency, attitude, organizational citizenship behavior, work deviance, relationship between workers and relative informal in-group status. However, this effects are not absolute and are influenced by company culture, situational factors and relationship between gossipers arid gossip targets. Future studies still need to take tots of potential factors of gossip behavior into consideration to build a more systematic model and need to develop a new paradigm that can better imitate the real work situation as well as applying strict experimental control to explore the mechanism behind this process.
