通过查阅本草文献以及现代药理研究,探求桔梗"宣肺、利咽、祛痰、排脓"的功效及作为引经药的机制,并结合施小墨临床应用桔梗不同配伍的经验,以求全面深刻地理解桔梗在不同方剂中的功效及地位。

Through consulting the literatures of materia medica and modern pharmacological researches, this paper is seeking for the efficacy of ＂ventilating lung qi, relieving sore throat, expelling phlegm, discharging pus＂ of Radix Platycodonis, and the mechanism of it as channel ushering drug. Combining with the experience of Shi Xiaomo using Radix Platycodonis with different compatibility of drugs in clinic, this paper is in an attempt to understand the efficacy and status of Radix Platycodonis in different prescriptions comprehensively and deeply.
