We introduced the legal basis of implementation of municipal solid waste charge system in Japan,its current implementation situation,charge types and methods. The waste reduction effect after charge collection was analyzed. The enlightenment of municipal solid waste charge reform in China was proposed from the aspects of law,charge standards and methods.
