海湾地区蕴藏丰富的石油资源,那里工业结构单一,居民收入较高,道路交通网络畅通。人们出行、货运主要依靠机动车。海湾地区每年都要进口大量的机动车以满足国内居民的需要。为加强各国之间的协调、合作及一体化,建立了海湾GCC组织后又成立海湾阿拉伯合作委员会标准化组织(GSO),机动车辆(包含摩托车)及零部件出口海湾地区需要申请GCC认证,获得证书后方可进入海湾地区市场。

In order to enhance coordination, cooperation and integration among countries, GCC was founded then GSO was established. All the motor vehicles （including motorcycles）and parts need to apply for GCC certification. After getting the Certificate, they can enter into the market.
