情态与语篇中人际关系的构建

摘要 在系统功能语言学的框架下,运用系统功能语言学的分析方法和例证的方法,从情态取向、情态隐喻及情态量值等三个方面探讨情态与语篇中人际关系的构建。情态有显性主观、隐性主观、显性客观和隐性主观四种不同的取向。情态的不同取向表明说话者对所述内容是否愿意承担责任及承担责任的程度;情态隐喻有主观情态隐喻和客观情态隐喻,分别将说话者的观点表述为个人主观观点或包装成客观内容,因而具有不同的权威性;情态的高、中、低等不同量值则表示说话者对所述内容的不同态度。情态的不同表达可以建构不同的人际关系。因此,在语言交际中,语言使用者应从情态取向、情态隐喻及情态量值等三个方面考虑选择合适的情态表达方法来表达并构建和谐的人际关系。 Under the framework of Systemic-Functional Linguistics,using the analysis of Systemic-Functional Linguistics and the method of exemplification,from the orientations in modality,metaphors of modality and the values of modality,this article probes into modality and the construction of the interpersonal relationship in the discourse: modality can have four different orientations of explicit subjective,implicit subjective,explicit objective and implicit objective,different modal orientations show whether the speaker is willing to take responsibility for what he has said and the degree of the responsibility; subjective metaphors of modality and objective metaphors of modality can package the speaker's viewpoint as the personal subjective viewpoint or objective content,thus expressing different authority; the different values of modality can express the speaker's different attitudes toward what he says. Different expressions of modality can construct different interpersonal relationship. Therefore,the speaker's choice of appropriate modality in language communication can contribute to the construction of the harmonious interpersonal relationship.
