Discussion on the Bai Juyi Complex in the Poems of Yelv Chucai

耶律楚材是元代著名的政治家、文学家,他的卓越功绩受到后人的高度评价。他远承中国现实派诗人白居易,并将这位忧国忧民的诗人认作"知音",创作了大量与之相契合的诗文,充分体现出其浓郁的白居易情结。

Yelv Chucai,a famous politician in Yuan Dynasty,is renown not only for his extraordinary political talent but also his literary ability. He learns the art of poetry from Bai Juyi,a Chinese realistic poet in Tang Dynasty and regards Bai as his ＂ soul mate＂ because both of them are concerned about the hardship of their people and country. Yelv Chucai composed a great number of poetry to respond to that of Bai Juyi,which shows his deep complex of Bai Juyi.
