Wandering between the Urban and the Rural:The Chinese Peasants as Actors in Cultural Transformation

乡村与城市,构成了农民循环往复的两个端点,农民在乡村与城市之间的行动轨迹为我们更好地理解这一群体提供了可供追溯的线索。通过聚焦农民在不同场域中的各式行动,在指出其内在行动逻辑之后我们能看到农民为应对今天的风险社会所展现出的行动智慧,这对于破除惯有的被建构的农民形象无疑具有一定的作用。在文化转型的视角下去理解中国农民,需要从多维度切入,从而将这一群体原本的丰富性、复杂性加以还原。

The rural and the urban are two endpoints for Chinese peasants to move in circles.The movements provide some clues that can be traced,which help us have a better understanding of the peasant.By focusing on diverse actions of peasants in different situations,we can find out the inner logic that hidden behind them.Furthermore,we can also perceive the wisdom of peasants through their actions that response to the risk society.It would inevitably contribute to break the traditional and constructed image of peasants.Under the perspective of cultural transformation,we need to understand peasants from multiple dimensions so as to restore their original richness and complexity.
