摘要
新世纪以来伴随着新术语的层出不穷,旧术语也在"与时俱逝"。文章以新世纪以来一些典型的"消亡"科技术语为例,对术语"消亡"的模式及原因进行粗线条的探讨。发现由于受社会、语言和语用心理等因素影响,科技术语的"消亡"主要有"显性消亡"和"隐性消亡"两类。
The advent of the 21^st century has witnessed both the emergence of numerous new terms and the retirement of old ones. Based on the analysis of some typical terms that have retired since the beginning of the 21^（st） century,this paper examines the modes and causes of the retirement of scientific and technical terms. It is concluded that the retirement of terms falls into the two modes as＂overt retirement＂and＂covert retirement＂under the comprehensive influence of society,language and pragmatic psychology.
