《摆渡人》是英国备受瞩目的现代女性作家克莱儿·麦克福尔的经典之作。小说讲述的是年龄差距悬殊的两位主人公在阴阳两界的荒原中跋涉艰难险阻、历经各种魔鬼折磨、数次逃过生死考验而逐渐成长的故事。本文试从两位主人公如何走出人生困惑、超越自我、最终完成成长蜕变的过程进行详细分析,来剖析青少年和成年人在面对自我认同困惑时的心理成长过程。
Ferryman is the most classic novel by Claire McFall, the？Britain＇s high-profile modern female writer today. The story is about a 15-year-old girl and her ferryman, a soul, who is supposed to lead her to cross the wasteland to reach Heaven. On the way, they have overcome many kinds of obstacles and hardships, endured the devil torture, and narrowly escaped frommany life-and-death trials. Eventually, both of them have grown up, found back their real-self and realized their dreams. This thesis is to analyze the psychological growth process of the teenagers and the adults when they face their identity confusion, by discussing how the two heroes solve their life problems,and outdo themselves to successfully achieve their growth.
