How to Absorb Western Institutional Culture Resources and Integrate Them into “the Rule of Law in China”

中国走向现代化的历程也是向西方学习的过程,中国的法治建设必须充分汲取包括西方制度文化在内的一切优秀资源。建设"法治中国"必须对西方制度文化秉持清醒的反思批判意识,吸收和融通其中优秀的、符合时代要求且与现代意识相适应的制度文化资源,在中国建立起以基本法律价值为基础、贯彻规则主义、体现公民精神的现代政治法律制度。

The course of modernization of China is also a process of learning from the West. The construction of Rule of Law in China must fully draw lessons from all outstanding cultural resources including western institu- tional culture. If we want to realize the＂ Rule of Law in China＂, we must keep sober reflection and critical consciousness on western institutional culture, absorb institutional cultural resources which is super - excel- lent, and integrate them into＂ the Rule of Law in China＂, in accordance with the requirements of the times and the modern consciousness. Only in this way can we establish a modern political and legal system in China, based on the basic value of law, implementing rule doctrine and embodying the spirit of citizenship.
