Human Rights Education of Police in China: Status and Improvement

在我国,公安人权教育在学历教育和在职训练方面都取得了一定进展。公安民警的人权意识也不断增强。但公安人权教育现状仍然是不能令人满意的,需要从以下方面进行改进:充分认识人权教育在公安训练中的重要作用,树立起公安人权教育理念;从政策和法律上进一步明确公安人权教育的基本要求;注重公安民警人权价值理念的塑造;改革公安院校课程设置,开设专门人权课程;编写有公安特色的人权教材,制定公安执法人权指南;有效地开展人权教育领域的国内外合作。

In China, human fights education of police have made some progress in college education and in-service training. The police＇s human fights consciousness also unceasingly strengthens. However, the present situation of human fights education of police is still unsatis- factory and needs to be improved from the following aspects： to fully understand the important role of human fights education in police training, establish the concept of importance of police human fights education; to further clarify the basic requirements of police human rights educa- tion in the policy and law; to focus on the shaping of the human rights values of police of- ficers; to reform the curriculum of police colleges and set up specialized human fights curricu- lum; to compiling the human fights textbook with police characteristics and formulate a human rights law enforcement guide; to carry out sincere and rewarding cooperation on human fights education at home and abroad.
