有些风电场用不带储油装置美式箱变的变压器箱体密封从设计到制作工艺都有不足之处．致使运行后箱体的呼吸效应使内部受潮，加速绝缘材料的劣化。由于风场地处偏远，会增加检修工作量，影响运行安全。应该增加箱体储油装置。
